DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrive in Srinagar:
On your arrival at the Srinagar International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative who will assist and escort you to your waiting vehicle. From the airport it is a 35 minutes drive through the heart of New Srinagar city. The drive takes you past the Abdullah bridge which connects the banks of the Jehlumriver, snaking its way towards the North-Western frontier of Kashmir. We arrive at the hotel and check in. Later we will go on a 90 minutes shikara ride in the lake. This boat ride glides you past some wonderful vegetable gardens and aquatic life. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2: In Srinagar Local Sightseeing:
After breakfast we will do Half day tour of world famous Mughal Gardens i.e. Nishat Garden, Shalimar Garden and Cheshma Shahi. Dinner & overnight at Hotel.

Nishat Garden:-
Located on the bank of the Dal Lake, with the Zaberwan Mountains as its backdrop, Nishat Bagh is a garden of bliss that commands a magnificent view of the lake beneath the snowcapped Pir Panjal mountain range that stands far away to the west of the valley. The Bagh was designed and built in 1633 by Asif Khan, elder brother of Nur Jehan.

Shalimar Garden:-
The Shalimar Bagh is the celebrated royal garden of Kashmir. The Emperor Jahangir was so fascinated with the garden that he called it “one of the sights of Kashmir.” Shalimar Bagh is located on the northeast side of Lake Dal, approximately fifteen kilometers away from the center of Srinagar. It was laid out by Jahangir as Farah Baksh (“the delightful”) in 1619, while he was founding the city of Srinagar.

Cheshma Shahi:-
Cheshma Shahi ( the royal spring), also called Cheshma Shahi, is one of the Mughal gardens built around a spring by Ali Mardan, a governor of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, in 1632. The garden is located in the Zaberwan Range, near Rajbhawan (Governor‘s house) overlooking Dal Lake in Srinagar, Kashmir.

Day 3: Srinagar– Gulmarg (54 Kms)
After breakfast leave Srinagar and start driving towards Gulmarg. Gulmarg (2730 Mtrs Above sea Level) (“Meadow of Flowers”) is a town, a hill station, a popular skiing destination during winters. Relax and evening is at free at its leisure. Gulmarg is famous because of its “Gulmarg Gondola,” one of the highest cable cars in the world (Direct Payment Basis). You can also visit Khilanmarg, the charming place in the Gulmarg that attracts everyone by its natural beauty. Dinner & overnight in Gulmarg at Hotel.

Day 4: Gulmarg – Pahalgam: (151 Kms)
After breakfast leave from Gulmarg and drive towards Pahalgam. Pahalgam 2440 Mtrs above sea level (Valley of Shepherds) on the way visit Saffron fields, Avantipur ruins and Anantnag sulpher spring. Pahalgam is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry. In Pahalgam you can visit Betaab Valley, Chandanwari and Aru Valley in Pahalgam (Direct payment basis). Dinner & overnight in Pahlagam at Hotel.

Betaab Valley:-
Betaab Valley is a very famous tourist spot situated at a distance of 15 kilometers from Pahalgam. The valley got its name from the Sunny Deol-Amrita Singh hit debut film Betaab. The Valley is towards northeast of Pahalgam and falls between Pahalgam and Chandanwari and is en route Amarnath Temple Yatra. The valley surrounded by lush green meadows, snow clad mountains and covered with dense vegetation.

Aru Valley:-
Aru is located around 12 from Pahalgam, 11 km upstream from the Lidder River. Noted for its scenic meadows, lakes and mountains, it is a base camp for trekking to the Kolhoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. The village lies of the left bank of the Aru River, which is a tributary of the Lidder River.

Chandanwari:-
Chandanwari is situated 16-km from Pahalgam; Chandanwari is the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra, which takes place every year in the month of Sawan (Rain). It is famous for snow sledging on a snow bridge.

Day 5: Pahalgam – Srinagar: (97 Kms):
Today we will explore the valley and other side valleys today. Rest of the day will be at leisure for individual activities. In the evening we will drive back to Srinagar. Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel in Srinagar.

Day 6: Srinagar to Yusmarg (Day Trip): (55 kilometers / 2-3 hrs drive):
After a hearty breakfast in the morning we will board our vehicle and drive through the Historic LalChowk towards the bye pass. We will crossover the byepass road and begin an exciting two hours journey to a place relatively unknown for the outside world. The Drive to Yusmarg takes you across grasy meadows, ringed by forests of pine, and towering beyond them, the awesome and majestic snow clad mountains. On your arrival in Yusmarg you can take all kind of walks across the rolling meadows which sometimes resemble its twin resort of Gulmarg. You can also stroll along the flower strewn meadows towards the mighty river froths of the Doodh Ganga. Yusmarg is ringed by several notable peaks incluing Tata-Kuti and Sang Safed. About 3 kilometers below Yusmarg a historical and religious place will be visited where stands the tomb of Sheikh Nu-Ud-Din who is still revered by both muslims and Hindus from time bygone. We will drive back to Srinagar in the evening and transfer to the hotel for our overnight stay.

Day 7: Srinagar – Sonmarg – Srinagar (87 Kms).
After breakfast leave from Srinagar and drive towards Sonmarg. Sonmarg (2800Mtrs above sea level), which means ‘ meadow of gold ‘ has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh meanders along here and abounds with trout and mahseer, snow trout can be caught in the main river. The visitors can have access to snow which is furnished all over like a white carpet. Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajwas glacier (Direct Payment Basis) a major attraction during the summer months. Later drive back to Srinagar. Dinner & overnight in Srinagar at Hotel.

Day 8: In Srinagar (Day at leisure for individual activities):
After a sumptuous breakfast, you can opt to go on a shikara ride in the Dal Lake or visit some side places such as the PariMahal or CheshmaShahi springs on your own. You can also simply rest at your hotel and in the evening go on a nature walk along the boulevard road visiting flea markets and strolling for window shopping. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 9: Srinagar to Manasbal: (Day Trip):
After breakfast in the morning we will go on a day trip to Manasballake. Located in the Jehlum valley, north of Srinagar, the name Manasbal is said to be a derivative of Lake Mansarovar in Tibet. Encircled by three villages, the lake has a depth of (13 m / 43 ft) and also has a Mughal garden laid by Nur-Jehan by its side. We will drive the 30 kilometer stretch in a little over 02 hrs via Ganderbal and Shadipur. Nearby the lake one can also view the Baladarmountains to the east as well as an ancient temple recently un-earthed during the lake restoration works. The temple is dated to 800-900 AD and is believed to have been built either by Raja Avantivarman or Sankaravarman. We will explore all this and later drive back to Srinagar. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Departure from Srinagar:
Early in the morning right after breakfast you will be transferred to your waiting vehicle in which you will be traveling onboard to the airport for your flight home.
